A towering structure rises up, seemingly buried inside the rim of the volcano with the lower end facing the imposing center of the volcano. The other end provides a high vantage point of the magnificent iceland landscape.

 

In the land where in the summer, the sun can never set, the narrow, yet long structure acts as a sundial, playing with time, the structure brings light in exactly the right time, 12 o’clock, to remind us of the cycle of days that is so important for human, though insignificant in the eyes of nature.
